A Message From Our President . .

Wow! I can’t believe how fast the season is going! School will soon be starting and we still haven’t had a real summer!
Even though the weather hasn’t co-operated, we have had lots of golf going on.
The Breast Cancer Tournament was a great success again. We will miss having Nadine Dely, Celeste Bolea and Paula McVitty chairing the tournament. They have done a great job of putting on a first class tournament that raises a lot of money for a worthy cause. If anyone is interested in helping out or chairing this tournament next year, let Michelle Coburn or myself know. These ladies will be hard to replace, but have all offered to help anyone willing to step up.

Carol Jacobsen did a great job again with the Moose Run Tournament. This is her last
year as chairman, but she is leaving it in the worthy hands of her co-chairman, Teri
Hennemann. Congratulations to all of the winners.
Thanks to Kim Everett and her crew for running the Club Championship. This is the last
year for Kim to chair this tournament and I would like to thank her for being there the past
three years. Congratulations to Kim Everett and Carol Jacobsen for their success in the
tournament! We’re still trying to come up with ideas to get more participation in this
tournament, so if any of you have ideas, don’t be shy about sharing them.
We only have one more fun tournament this year, so be sure and get signed up. The
Moose Race Tournament at Settler’s Bay is August 31. If you haven’t signed up yet, get
your entry on the web, or at one of the courses. It’s a great way to end the season.
Marie Walker and Belle Johnson always make things fun! (Just ask Marie).
As always, I can’t say enough about all of the ladies who put in many hours making our
organization such a success. If anyone would like to help out next year, just let Michelle
Coburn (President-Elect) know. There are still some Board Member positions that need to
be filled.
Enjoy the last month and a half of golf. I hope the sun comes out sometime soon.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to play as much the rest of the summer. That darn work thing
is getting in the way. I’ll still try to be out there as often as I can and I hope to see you there!
